| This, our third,
CD was recorded live at the Palace Theater in Hilo, Hawaii on September
2nd, 2000. The concert was a benefit for the 75 year old theater.
The Palace has wonderful acoustics like so many of the old vaudeville theaters of that vintage. It was a fun concert for the guys in the band and the audience was receptive and enthusiastic. We hope you enjoy listening to the CD as much as we enjoyed playing the concert. We were honored to have Pauline Wilson as our special guest for the evening. Pauline is a great vocalist (the only Grammy award winner from our island state) and she was born and raised in Hilo. As a girl, she attended movies at the Palace Theater. We recorded this concert on a Sony DAT Walkman at slow speed with a stereo microphone at the rear of the auditorium. Yolee Hyde was engineer. Ollie Mitchell, February 15, 2001
