Swingin' into the New Millennium at the Blue Dolphin in Kawaihae, Hawaii, the Olliephonic Horns is a consistently fun musical adventure for all involved. At this point, we've been together four years and a constantly striving to explore new music and styles, and to improve our individual jazz chops. We're lucky to play for people who seem to enjoy our efforts and that keeps us going in a positive direction. Since our first CD, LIVE! at the Blue Dolphin, we have added three new members to our musical family. Slyde Hyde, trombone, left the hectic Hollywood music scene for the good life on our Big Island. Paul Lindbergh, tenor sax, moved here from Oahu; and recently, his brother David came aboard as singer and back-up drummer. Our original drummer, Joe Garguile, left to be deputy sheriff on Lopez Island, Washington. Joe has been replaced by Garin Poliahu from Hawi. Our original keyboard artist, Peter Weinstock, left to pay more attention to his Sibu Cafe in Kailua-Kona. Gary Washburn put down his baritone sax to take over on keyboard. The entire CD project was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced, including artwork and graphics, by Terry "trombone" Warner with engineering help from Cory Wendling. ENJOY ! Ollie Mitchell 10/99
