The Olliephonic Horns came together in Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaii, four years ago. We started as a group of horn players getting together to hang out and study Jazz by playing along with special Jazz practice CD's. Soon, drums, bass, guitar, vibes and an electric keyboard joined the horns ~ and a new musical journey began. This CD was recorded in March, 1997 live ~
at the Blue Dolphin ~ an open-air restaurant at Kawaihae Harbor on the
Kohala Coast, about a dozen miles down the hill from Waimea |
